Accountant - Switzerland - 6 monthsOur client, a nutrition company based in Basel, Switzerland is currently seeking for an Accountant to be responsible for all accounting functions and monthly closing processes.
Responsibilities
- General ledger entries
- Manage accounts payable & accounts receivables as well as reminders
- Purchase of production material and goods
- Inventory tracking and valuation of stock
- Calculation royalty and license fees based on revenue
- Maintain fixed asset register up to date
- VAT filing for Switzerland and Germany
- Monthly end procedures and full reconciliation of accounts
- Prepare monthly reporting package
- Account for financial leasing
- Assist in general finance and other ad hoc tasks
Requirements
- Postgraduate training as accountant (Fachfrau/-mann Finanz- und Rechnungswesen) or equivalent
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar position
- Experience with month and year-end financial closing and reporting process
- Comfortable working in an international environment
- Experience with ABACUS accounting system is certainly a plus
- Ability to manage multiple priorities
- English & German - verbal and written
- Relevant working/residency permit or Swiss/EU-Citizenship required
