Rate: around CHF 800/hour all in

Overview of business area or project:
An alternative investments fund manager located in Zurich is further building out the functionalities of its trading and analytics IT platform. To support the development team, the fund manager is looking for a motivated senior .NET/C# developer to join a team consisting of 8 people (5 developers, 1 tester, 1 analyst and the team lead). The team is located and directly working with the business users on a daily basis.
Key Responsibilities
- Working independently and as part of a small team in an agile environment, under the guidance of the tech lead
- Developing components on a Microsoft 3-tier architecture system, with particular focus on the service tier
- Enhancing existing functionalities and designing/implementing new features following coding best practices
- Taking part in extending the testing framework and maintaining/improving unit tests
- Understanding the business specifications, converting requirements into technical solutions
- Supporting the Production Environment and the end-users
Essentials Skills and Qualifications:
- Strong skills in OOP, .NET C# 4.5 or above, LINQ, multi-threading
- Strong experience with WPF/MVVM pattern (candidates with extensive Silverlight knowledge could also be considered)
- Good DB design and SQL knowledge including SQL Server 2008 or above
- Experience designing UI from a usability/user interaction point of view
- Requirements engineering/Business Analysis skills
- Test driven development
- Agile/scrum experience
- Good oral/written communication, positive and proactive team attitude
- Strong analytic and problem solving skills, flexible on moving targets
- Good spoken and written English
