For one of our customers, we are urgently looking for an:Apllication Developer Web - Back-End
Job description
Application development and support for a web based knowledge management/BI/dashboard application (developed in agile approach by the business but with ties to IT) which brings together more than 35 structured data sources currently in production to 250 users. Plus support for user management, documentation of the application, creation of new functionality (ie. user customisable views). Plus support of other projects written in JAVA, Linux systems support etc. Also data extraction and curation could be part of the job.
Expected qualifications
Strong PHP and web application development skills. Strong database and SQL skills. Good knowledge of Biological and drug development data an asset. Fluency in English is a must (written and spoken). Must be flexible, aware that this is an agile development project using mainly open source solutions. Support of other projects written in Java and Linux systems support would also be welcome.
Technical skills
OS: Linux RedHat, Windows Language: Strong PHP and SQL skills are essential, Javascript, HTML, CSS. Knowledge of JAVA a plus. Software: Oracle SQL Developer, Datastage (IBM Websphere), Eclipse, SVN, JpGraph, Web application development and tuning software (Yslow, firebug...)
