SQL Server DBA We are looking for an SQL Server DBA for a finance company in the suburbs of Zurich. The role includes assisting with the migration of the existing estate to a new Enterprise Cluster and ensuring the continuous availability, capacity, security and performance of all the databases. In addition you will support business projects in conjunction with the development function and provide performance monitoring and tuning of live databases. For this role we are looking for an exceptional DBA, with enthusiasm and the aptitude to learn and communicate coupled with thorough technical hands on knowledge. You will have a minimum of 5 years experience working as an SQL Server DBA and will have good knowledge of Windows/SQL Server Clustering. Also you will have hands on experience of SQL Server 2000, SQL Server 2005 and SQL Server Mirroring and Log Shipping. It is essential that you are an experienced SQL Server DBA with a background in supporting mission critical, transactional and 24 / 7 operations running on SQL Server 2005 as a minimum.
