Technical Support Engineer wanted for our Basel based client in the pharmaceutical sector.Your experience/skills:
- 5+ years' experience as a Service Manager or corresponding work experience
- Several years' experience in a supporting / system administration role
- Solid knowledge of the common IT infrastructure
- Good knowledge of Cloud Services
- Languages: fluent English both written and spoken
Your tasks:
- Defining and maintaining knowledge about the relation of systems and ensuring that dependencies are understood and managed accordingly
- Developing operational models to ensure optimal use of resources and defining all tasks required to manage the infrastructure
- Planning and designing new security technologies and solutions through project work and assisting in the development of corporate standard procedures
- Providing recommendations to management to increase effectiveness of organizational and technological solutions
- Improving service availability and optimizing the availability of the IT infrastructure
- Creating, maintaining and reviewing an availability management system and a forward-looking availability plan
- Assists with the handling of major incidents and identifying their root causes
