My client, a Swiss pharmaceutical company specialised in dermatology treatments is looking for experienced IT Architect for Databases.

Support IT Infrastructure Delivery organization to deliver business value through changes and well-maintained platforms by performing quality service engineering, governance, and guidance activities in a global IT Operations environment

For the duration of the project, you will be employed directly at Computer Futures and will work for the customer as part of the temporary worker.

Your tasks as a IT Architect - Databases :
  • Lead Database Service engineering: Architect, document and coordinate technology design, and configuration for service updates/additions as part of change management discipline (fit4purpose, including technical integrations, automation, in liaison with IT, business and vendor stakeholders, SQL and noSQL databases), classic and cloud)
  • Achieves organizational goals by defining, integrating, and upgrading a comprehensive architecture to support applications, platforms, and databases. Oversee maintenance of databases
  • Lead Database platform architecture strategy, roadmap, and implementation (including standardization and reporting) that provides effective database solutions, procedures. standards and architecture models to facilitate secure, compliant, and reliable storing and retrieving of company data, and their safeguarding.
  • Influence DB platform choice for solution proposals and provide guidance to service providers on the clients DB platform strategy and standards.
  • Validate, evaluate and technical sign-off of technical changes in capabilities and solutions proposed by external partners
  • Oversee and guide deployment of database solutions in IT Landscape (including PoC, PoV and Transfer-to-Operations together with L2)
  • Serve as L3 SME for technical operations, incident, and problem resolution in database platform and related domains (including error search & remediation)
  • Knowledge management: ensure operational procedures, technical designs/standards and configuration knowledge is documented and maintained. Support training of staff.
  • Design and propose DB architectures with optimal performance, availability, cost, and capacity. Guide RUN-organization on the management of same parameters


Your Profile:
  • Certified DB Architect across multiple platforms (required: Oracle, MS SQL, others plus)
  • Certified Azure Administrator & Azure Solutions architect
    • ITIL certified
    • Project Management Certification a plus
    • BSc in IT or equivalent, MSc preferred
  • At least 8 years in relevant DB Architecture role in global IT Infrastructure environment, including actively working with Cloud Technology (at least 2 years of demonstrable working experience).
  • 3+ years of BU or BU-facing experience, with sensitivity and commitment to business problem solving.
  • GxP-regulated industry experience is an asset.
  • English skills at least B2-level
