Are you an enthusiastic z/OS System Engineer with extensive experience in the installation, configuration and implementation of WebSphere Application Server for z/OS?
Do you have experience in a large, complex IT environment?
If so, then this could be the role for you.
My client, a large insurance company based in Zurich is looking for a z/OS Engineer to join them on a contract basis for a 12 month engagement.
You should have strong experience in Mainframe WebSphere for Z/OS Skills with the ability to apply the latest fixpacks and ifixes. You should be able to define and modify datasources and diagnose problems and opening of vendor records.
Strong Scripting, tuning and debugging skills for z/OS are essential.
Essential Skills:
- Verbal and written communication skills in English (German a bonus), problem solving skills
- Excellent WebSphere (Grid) know-how on z/OS (Scripting, Tuning, Debugging)
- Excellent know-how in USS (Shell Scripting, BPXBATCH, USS security, ACL)
- Excellent WLM know-how related to WAS (Reporting and interpretation)
- Very good Java Debugging skills
- Very good z/OS, Java development and deployment tooling
- Good know-how on Monitoring zWAS (using Dynatrace)
