Access Network Engineer (GPON,DSLAM, FTTx) English speaking role in Zurich
Main responsibilities
* Technical support services towards our customers, working independently or jointly with the technical support team
* Customer technical management, effectively communicate with customers on technical solution, project plan, and project progress, and win customers' support and acknowledgement
* Customer trouble ticket handling, SLA tracking and monitoring.
* Identify and mitigate major technical risks in project delivery, develop and optimize emergency solutions
* Take charge of technical support and critical issue handling for key projects of top-quality network and user experience.
Your Profile
* Bachelor or Master's degree in telecommunications
* 3+ years' work experience within this field
* Very good knowledge of one or more of the following products and solutions in Access Network including: GPON,DSLAM, G.FAST, FTTx (FTTS/FTTH)
* Strong hardware and software troubleshooting skills
* Ability to implement and supervise installation, commission and testing independently (including survey and acceptance)
* Basic NMS knowledge to support NMS network build
* Strong hardware and software troubleshooting skills
* Have a primary understanding of basic project management methods, Identify and manage technical problems of the product family, make solutions and plans, and promote the problem resolution according to corporate processes
* Scripting knowledge is an advantage
* Good understanding of Linux, Virtualization, IT infrastructure concepts.
* Have good learning skills to grasp new product, new technologies and new working processes
* Good self-management skills and the ability to work independently
* High flexibility and able to manage multiple tasks, being target oriented and able to work under pressure
* Ability to work in a culturally diverse, high paced organization
* Fluency in English is a must, German and French is an advantage
