My client, a global non-life insurance company, are currently looking for a Technical Accountant to support their Technical Accounting team. This is a freelance role based in Switzerland, fluent English is necessary for this role.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Controlling accepted business in the RI-System before releasing to accounting system
- Booking and applying cash receipts/disbursements
- Assist with monitoring, processing and allocating accounts receivables/payables with clients/brokers
- Assist in processing Proportional and Non-Proportional Treaty Accounting
- Reconcile the company's collateral position on a monthly basis
- Maintenance of the reinsurance receivables ledger
- Processing of payments
- Perform and assist in monthly closing procedures for the reinsurance accounting system, including reconciliations, controls and analysis
Skills required:
- A minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role within the Reinsurance industry
- Strong computer skills, in particular excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
- Strong attention to detail, ability to complete work to a high degree of accuracy
