Tax Documentation and Information Reporting specialist

I'm actively looking for a tax documentation and information reporting specialist to support our client in the tax operations unit.
This role will offer you the opportunity to work closely with dynamic business in large and varied Operations environment, as well as developing further knowledge on tax regulations and procedures for various markets.

Job description

Work as part of the CPB Tax operations team to provide support of current and future functions undertaken in the US and International tax space as pertains to account opening and tax form validation.

Particularly in relation to:
-FATCA- Pre-existing Account Due Diligence, Solicitation, validation and exception monitoring of US tax documentation.
-UK CDOT- Self-certification solicitation, validation and exception monitoring
-Swiss IWT - UK/Austrian resident tax marker coding

Key responsibilities
Member of the EMEA CPB Tax Operations team;
-Assist with client classification and documentation remediation efforts in order to comply with multiple tax regimes.
-Review, validate and process US tax forms and related documentation according to IRS regulations
-Review, validate and process client documentation with regards to taxable status and outcomes according to Swiss IWT and EUSD regulations.

Required experience and skills
-5 + years of relevant work experience in a Tax Operations area

-Knowledge of KYC (Know your Clients) in a banking environment

-Experience in an Onboarding and or Tax Operations team with knowledge of US tax form validation

-Understanding of various structures Trusts/PIC's in relation to on-boarding and documentation needs.

-Proven skills in the above area by being involved in successful projects and teams at other institutions.

-A wide variety of market knowledge

-Knowledge of the US tax regulations (including US and NRA, documentation, withholding and reporting) and the Qualified Intermediary Regulations.

-Knowledge of Swiss IWT and EUSD

-Background understanding of UK CDOT and CRS

-Ability to interact confidently with other divisions, at all levels

-Strong Microsoft Office skills

Languages
-Fluent English speaker
-Speaking German would be beneficial
