Windows 10 Technical Architect
As the Senior Windows Technical Architect, you will bring your passion and extensive experience to bear on designing and implementing the Windows 10 based workplace as one of the most critical entry points to the world of information. You will provide technical innovation for systems and solution design initiatives, as well as be hands-on in the deployment of your designs. Your work will include consideration for both innovative ways using new technologies and industry trends, as well as recognizing opportunities for reuse of existing design patterns or solutions within our established technology portfolio.
The role encompasses the following responsibilities:
- Carry out prototyping, proofs of concept, and technology and/or product evaluation related to Windows 10
- Creation of high level and detailed design documentation
- Follow Digital Workplace and service design best practices
- Actively support product owner with all technical aspects of the scope of work
- Ensure business requirements are documented and scope changes are properly handled
- Work as part of the Windows team in designing sustainable and great solutions in close collaboration with the engineers
- Outline and clarify dependencies to other technology areas like Azure, Office 365, etc.
- Ensure user experience is in line with architectural designs and covered within the requirements
- Aim for flexible technology implementation which allow fast adoption and flexibility for changes
Experience
- Proven engineering/architecture experience (minimum 5 years) with the following products or technologies:
- Windows 7/8/10 Client Deployment and Management
- Windows Group Policy Management (Windows 7/8/10)
- Microsoft System Centre Configuration Manager Current Branch
- Microsoft Office Suite 2013/Office 365 Click-2-Run
- Windows PowerShell Scripting
- Office 365 (Cloud Services)
- Familiar with Windows 10 Servicing options (Semi-Annual, Semi-Annual Targeted, LTSB) and feature stack
- Ability to familiarize with new technologies
- Willingness to learn continuously
- Good communication skills in word and writing
- Competent knowledge in project and process management
- Deep understanding of Enterprise Change Management processes
- Understanding of Agile and Dev-Ops principals
- Very good interpersonal skills will be required to engage your peers. This includes highly developed negotiation, influencing and conflict management skills
- Experience working with intercultural and geographically dispersed team members
- Willingness to continually embrace personal professional development
- Familiar with Azure cloud technologies and services,
- Understanding the technologies involved in Modern Management
- Organized individual who can prioritize time and workload
- Ability to work independently
