Level 3 Support - Web and Application Servers with profound Apache, IBM WebSphere, Linux, UNIX knowledge wanted for our Zurich based client in the banking sector.
Your experience/skills:
- Strong experience working in a complex web-hosting environment with Apache web Servers, as well as Tomcat and IBM WebSphere application Servers
- Advanced UNIX skills, especially Linux are indispensable
- Solid knowledge of infrastructure principles and system interdependencies outside the web hosting environment, such as networking and databases
- Able to work to tight deadlines, as well as to work on your own or within teams
- Strong interpersonal skills, analytical; logical and enjoying to solve problems
- Languages: fluent English both written and spoken, German would be an asset
Your tasks:
- Providing Level 3 support of web and application Servers
- Installing and configurating new infrastructures to support web applications as well as upgrading the existing infrastructure
- Supporting the tooling for infrastructure builds and application installs
- Providing consultancy for application teams to support them move to newer infrastructure
- Facilitating on-boarding of new technologies to help evolve the web hosting service
- Identifying opportunities to automate processes to improve levels of service and remove manual tasks
