COMMUNICATIONS BUILD ENGINEER
One of our Major Leading Clients is looking for a COMMUNICATIONS BUILD ENGINEER for a 6-12 month contract. This is for a quick start for the successful COMMUNICATIONS BUILD ENGINEER.
The COMMUNICATIONS BUILD ENGINEER will be responsible for the following:
- Analyze requirements and develop technical solutions to fulfil business requirements
- Perform Low Level Design activities including configuration level implementations
- Build and implement network industrialized solutions that are easy to deploy and operate
- Lead or participate in projects to deliver and deploy solutions
- Ensure that his/her build activities adhere to agreed network standards
- Guarantee compliance with IT and Security policies and directives
- Provide appropriate handover documents to Operations team
- Contribute to maintain solutions current and perform life cycle renewal in alignment with Architecture team
- Contribute to the Configuration Management process for new build activities
- Contribute to investigation, diagnosis and solving of major or complex network incidents according to existing Incident management procedures
- Participate in the Problem Management process with special emphasize on possible improvements to future build initiatives and incidents reduction
- Contribute to validation of custom solutions in collaboration with the Architecture group
- Interact with network providers as required for build activities and for incident/problem management
- Perform technology watch in order to stay up to date with all new network technologies
The COMMUNICATIONS BUILD ENGINEER should have the following skills/experience:
- Cisco Unified Communications
- Migration of PABX to IP telephony
- Strong knowledge of Communications Services (Voice, Video and Web Conferencing, Unified Communications, IP telephony, ...) and related functions (CUCM, MCU, ), suppliers (Cisco, Google, ...), protocols (H.323, SIP, WebRTC, ) and services
- Knowledge of networking concepts supporting Communications (QoS, PoE, )
- Knowledge of ITIL best practice and working experience with ITIL processes in a service driven, customer oriented environment
- Knowledge of network address and naming services (IPv4, IPv6, DNS, DHCP)
- Strong knowledge troubleshooting incl. network management tools
