For a project at our insurance client in Zurich we are looking for aProject Manager - Applications Lead (4340)
Our client is rolling out a new electronic workplace to Windows 10 / VDI. The diverse application portfolio is at the core of this project and requires the attention of a senior Project Manager / Program Manager. The person we are looking for has a strategic mind and sound technical knowhow to drive this crucial process.
Your Qualifications:
- Proven skills in the areas of Project Management, planning, organizing, resourcing with a careful attention to detail to continuously monitor progress actions and initiatives.
- Ability to effectively collaborate with teams in an international, multi-cultural, multi-disciplinary environment; separated by geographical locations and working under different time-zones.
- Solid knowhow in application management and application landscape design in complex multinational environments
- Previous experience in similar projects such as migration and implementation of OS for multinational companies
- Experience in multi-site deployment projects
- Project Management certification (PMP or similar)
About the role:
- Lead the Application workstream within the Windows 10 / VDI migration project
- Make choices about resource allocation, make trade-offs among competing objectives and alternatives, and manage the interdependencies among the project management areas
- Coordinate all stream activities within central team including assigned central SMEs and supplier services with scope of the stream
- Manage generic application remediation process and improve / fine tune as necessary
- Orchestrate all stream communications to the business units
- Advise business unit representatives on application remediation process and options, highlight risks and opportunities
- Track business unit remediation decision and execution progress, and proactively advise overall program lead on any issues
- Report on progress to overall program management and PMO
- Supports the program director and the sponsor in the setup of the project or program
