For a 6 month project at our client's site, an international bank based in Zurich, we are looking for an experienced

Application Supporter - Unix/Linux & Shell Scripting (4158)

Your Qualifications:

-Banking, Finance and/or Risk knowledge is required
-5+ years’ practical experience with Unix/Linux and Shell Scripting
-5+ years’ experience in an IT Support role (ideally in front or middle office in Investment Banking)
-Experience with SQL (ideally Oracle / Sybase)
-Skilled in Incident-/Problem-, Release- and Change Management (from a production perspective)
-ITIL V3 certificate would be a strong plus
-Knowledge of multiple technologies is an advantage: Excel, VBA, C#/ASP.NET, Java, C++
-Batch/Control-M experience is a plus

Your Responsibilities:

-Develop a thorough understanding of the Credit Risk Environment
-IT Support for the reported issues and resolve them in a timely manner
-Involvement in development tasks
-Monitoring of scheduled batch jobs, as well as the identification of process improvements (e.g. automation of the manual monitoring process)
-Responsibility for the OLA's and SLA's between IT to IT and IT to business
-Proactive communication of batch job delays to users and senior management
-Escalation of critical and high priority issues to the senior management
-Full root cause analysis and a detailed investigation of issues in the agreed time
-Ownership for the IT/incident tickets open in the area of responsibility
-Solid collaboration with the application development teams and the other relevant interfaces
