For our banking client in Zurich, we are currently looking for a
Server Deployment and Software Distribution Automation Engineer
Start date: ASAP
Duration: 12 months
Location: Zurich
Hosting and Datacenter Services is a Swiss Bank IT datacenter organization. HDCS is responsible for life cycle management and engineering of all current and future datacenter products, platforms and services. HDCS also oversees technology programs maximizing both fulfillment of business requirements and value of the product portfolio. As a member of the Server Automation team, you will play a key role in the agile delivery of automation solutions for infrastructure and software delivery. You will contribute to a fast moving scrum team, working closely together with your team mates in a self-deterministic environment to turn requirements into end product with a high level of quality and integrity.
Specific responsibilities include:
- Engineer cloud (IaaS, PaaS) solutions
- Be involved in solution architecture and design
- Be member of an agile scrum team
- Provide 3rd level support for production issues
- Play a key role in the decommissioning of Legacy systems and adoption of new systems
Essential skills:
- Experience with operating system engineering/administration on both platform Linux (RHEL 5, 6, 7) and Windows server (2008, 2012) environments, proficiency in Linux is desirable
- Proven track record of designing scalable multi-location infrastructure platforms
- Experience with IT systems management platforms such as SaltStack, Ansible, Chef or Puppet
- Good understanding of open source projects available for systems management space
- Experience with both consumption and creating of Web Services (SOAP, REST)
- Practical experience with networking concepts (switching, routing, Firewalls, etc.)
- Strong programming/Scripting skills in Python and Unix Shell
- Good communication skills & fluency in English
Desirable:
- Systems integration experience in virtualized ecosystems (VMWare)
- Experienced with container technologies (Docker, LXC, Rocket)
- Any infrastructure technology related certification will be considered as a plus (MCSA, MCSE, MCITP, RHCE, VCP)
