Project environment

A global Swiss Bank is looking for an experienced change-agent professional who is responsible for solution design and leading delivery teams on large initiatives that support the bank’s business needs. The Solution Architect devises and delivers comprehensive technology solutions to complex business problems with architectures that exhibit built-in quality, rationale and coherence.

Tasks
• Architecture of large, transformational programs envisaged for the enterprise, such as: custom application development, business partner systems integration, vendor software selection, deployment and customization.
• Translate business requirements (functional and non-functional) into technical architectural designs.
• Collaborate with stakeholders from IT and Business, Subject Matter Experts, Delivery Teams, Enterprise Architects and Business Analysts to develop architecture for processes related to the bank’s initiatives.
• Engaging with the Asset Management Technology Teams for system integration of the data sources, cross-collaborating with other Architects, Technical Leads and Security Risk Teams.
• Provide guidelines/best practices and direction to Delivery Leads with respect to business process, application architecture, database modeling and infrastructural or deployment needs.
• Participate in development of technology road map.
• Identify and pursue process and technology improvements to solve problems.
• Cultivate cross-functional relationships fostering trust, collaboration and collegiality.

Requirements
• 15 years of experience in specification, design, development and maintenance of enterprise-scale mission critical distributed systems with demanding functional and non-functional requirements.
• 10 years of experience successfully leading the architecture of large, integrated enterprise-level projects with multiple integration points and associated stakeholder groups.
• 10 years of experience with SOA concepts, including the design and construction of web/data services, interface specifications and security mechanisms.
• 10 years of logic algorithms, design patterns, optimizations and other development approaches.
• 10 years of experience designing and building complex solutions and applications with relational databases.
• 10 years of Web and other front-end components and technologies.
• 8 years of hands-on, direct experience in delivering complex server-side solutions in modern Object Orientated Languages.
• Familiarity with Agile methodology, Scaled Agile framework, Scrum/Kanban delivery approaches.
• Strong abilities troubleshooting and tuning distributed environments processing high volume of transactions are advantageous.
• Experience with data integration concepts and technologies, e.g. data mastering, reference data, governance and quality concerns are advantageous.
• Experience with technologies such as: MS SQL Server, Oracle DB, C#, Java, ETL (Informatica), Tableau, HTML5, JavaScript are advantageous.
