For a global bank based here in Zurich we are looking for a

SQL Server Database Developer (3449)

Key Responsibilities/Deliverables Participate in the development of a large banking application:

- Analysis, design, implementation and unit testing of Database components.
- Refactoring of existing functionality and re-design of application components
- Migrating existing application components to the new service layer
- Active participation on code reviews and other quality assurance actions.
- Enhance current solution and getting involved in maintaining the product
- Adhere to the Credit Suisse IT Solution Delivery Policies and other relevant regulations.

Must have skills:

- Strong Experience with Transact SQL for SQL Server 2012
- Strong Experience in Database Tuning
- Proven experience on large projects, large systems, with large throughput, high performance databases with very large volumes of transactions on a daily basis.
- Experience of best-practices in a Database development environment
- Proven strong knowledge of Software design principles and design patterns
- Strong written and oral communication skills (English).
- Demonstrated ability to learn and adapt
- A self-starter, being able to take ownership of tasks at short-notice, and push them to delivery.
- Master/Bachelor in Information Technology or Engineering or similar is required

Nice to have skills

- Knowledge of ColdFusion is a strong plus
- Knowledge of OS Windows and Unix/Linux
- Banking sector is a strong advantage
- Willingness to participate in a strategic CS project
- Good problem solving capacity
