For a project at our clients‘ site, a global bank based here in Zurich, we are looking for aSenior & a Junior Business Consultant – Banking Strategy (3377 & 3378)
“Program Services” provides an internal source of consulting, program and project management capabilities within the Bank, helping the organization plan and execute major initiatives by employing industry best practices. The designated candidate will take over a business lead workstream function of a group that consists of up 160+ consulting and program specialists, with presence in all major regions. The projects cover a wide range of topics from regulatory, organizational design, efficiency and process improvement and IT implementations.
Essentially we are looking for two Business Program Managers/Business Consultants with different levels of seniority and therefore also encourage Juniors to apply.
Job Qualifications
- University degree (business and/or legal preferably)
- Strong banking background
- 5+ years of relevant work experience in project management, consulting or similar functions in financial services or management consulting
- Experience in managing senior stakeholders across multiple disciplines
- Strong sense of ownership
- Proactive, Organizational, analytical and problem solving skills
- Ability to work in a team
- Team player with communication and negotiation skills
- Fluency in English, German would be an advantage
- Knowledge of Legal and / or Compliance activities would be an advantage
Job Responsibilities
- Work stream responsibility for the planning, managing and coordinating of a project stream on operational readiness of functions i.e. ramp-up and transitions as well as alignment of shared services such as Finance, HR, IT and Operations within a re-organization
- Member of project management for key projects within the General Counsel division
- Actively challenging work stream plans, content and spotting issues
- Responsibility for developing project documents and reporting for project management updates for senior management
- Resolving issues and producing various project documents on time
- Advising work stream leaders to deliver in time with high quality and with effective and efficient resource and cost management
- Responsibility to support work stream leaders on a day-to-day basis
