For our customer, we would like to fill the following vacancy:

Senior IT Project Manager to oversee the application readiness testing for the Windows 10+ project

Our customer is launching the project for the global Windows 10 migration and is seeking support for the project initiation and define phase. Extension of the role past these phases desired if candidate is a good fit.
The following items will be upgraded:
* Windows 7 to Windows 10
* Internet Explorer 10 to Internet Explorer 11
* Microsoft Office 2010 to Microsoft Office 2016

This translates to a global impact on the company (all sites and business functions). Furthermore the project is expected to have many dependencies to other business and IT endeavors that need to be identified and managed accordingly.

This role is to lead the Application Readiness workstream consisting of packaged and web applications compatibility testing and remediation as well as support for locally installed and MS Office application readiness assessment. Candidate is expected to lead the coordinators for these areas who in turn have teams of their own to execute the actual testing and remediation.

During Initiate and Define phase, candidate is expected to set up workstream together with coordinators and work closely with the business to set up the processes for the testing and remediation. Candidate is expected to understand the business needs and handle gaps between business expectations and what the project delivers as well as escalations arising in the application readiness area.

Working language is English. High proficiency in working virtually is a must.
Remote work an option up to 20%, prior approval required.

Tasks & Responsibilities:
- Work closely together with the Windows 10+ project manager during the project initiation to set up project and reporting structure, in later phases, regular meetings with project manager to keep up-to-date on status, progress, risks, issues, dependencies etc.
- Provide input to Project Charter
- Set up Application Readiness Stream together with project coordinators for packaged and web applications (project internally)
- Bring SPOCs (Single Point of Contact) for the business functions on board
- Understand business functions needs and define process for collaboration with SPOCs and application owners
- Point of escalation for all application-related topics project-internally as well as towards business stakeholders
- RAID (Risks, Assumptions, Issues, Dependencies) management, especially Identify, track and handle dependencies in the application readiness area (esp. when this has an impact on the timeline and/or budget)
- Manage the triple constraints [Cost, Schedule, Scope/Quality] of the workstream delivery, escalating to project manager, business stakeholders, Functional Managers, and/or Sr. Mgmt, as appropriate to keep workstream on track, in scope, and on budget, specifically including full financial forecasting for full workstream and annual budget constraints.
- Identify deviations from the cost, schedule and scope baseline and forecasts early and raise to project management
- Track progress and provide accurate status with the right level of detail to project as well as application SPOCs of the business functions

- Experience in migration/deployment projects (e.g. rollout projects, handling of large data sets), ideally in the application readiness area
- Experience in IT project management (PM certification a plus)
- Desired: Background in application testing esp. for migration readiness
- Desired: CSV background and experience in working with IT Quality
- Cross-functional communication and negotiation skills; proven track record of handling escalations on all levels IT internally as well as between business and IT
- ITIL Foundation certification or relevant experience in Service Management
- Process definition
- Experience in detailed planning and tracking
- Leadership of external / internal staff
- Experience in virtual, international team settings
- Business-fluent in English, both verbally and in writing
- German, French and/or Polish a plus
