DATA ENGINEER (AZURE)Our client in Zurich, a global leader in the finance environment, is looking for a DATA ENGINEER (AZURE) for the next 12 months (extension is possible).
Conditions:
- Start- ASAP or negotiable in May/ June
- Duration- 12 months with a very high chance for another extension for 12 months
- Contract- temp or freelance
- Working model- Onsite, hybrid or full remote
- Rate- very competitive
Job Responsibilities:
You will be part of a data engineering team working with Azure Databricks, Azure Data Factory and Azure Data Lake (Delta Lake) to extract, load and transform data from various systems and deliver it in a harmonized data model into a new finance platform.
Skills:
- Experience in data engineering application development using Spark, preferably in an enterprise environment on Microsoft Azure
- Experience in building enterprise big data / data engineering applications using continuous integration tools like Azure DevOps
- Experience in Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake, and Azure Log Analytics
- Design and implementation of production-grade solutions
- Delivering high-quality code, focusing on simplicity, performance, maintainability, and scalability
- Practical experience in applying an agile way of working and in applying DevOps methodologies
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in English
