Our international client, a well known and respected name, are looking for a freelance DBA with a solid background in the migration and configuration of MSBI stack: SSAS, SSIS, SSRS. The contract on offer is for 6 months initially and work can be carried out remotely.The client will be updating their physical infrastructure and migrating across the existing SQL instance to the new infrastructure. The main task for this freelancer will be to migrate existing applications and their related databases across to the new SQL instance/new infrastructure and ensure that migrated applications run properly in the new environment.
There will be a lot work involving the migration, installation and configuration of different MSBI (SSAS, SSIS, SSRS) components eg frameworks and integration components on top of the new SQL instance. It is therefor very important that this freelancer has advanced experience administering, configuring, tuning the different MSBI components.
The client will also potentially be looking to move to a clustered setup to allow for higher availability and stability. If they go for a clustered SQL setup they could potentially be looking at having different spread of MSBI components over the cluster.
Although some MSBI development experience will be beneficial, the client is NOT looking just an MSBI developer. They specifically want someone from a DBA/MSBI Admin background.
