User & Production Support
We offer
*An interesting role in the CRO IT production support' team. This team provides a portfolio of services, which includes 2nd level support for the CRO business users
*Develop a thorough understanding of the CRO IT environment
*IT Support for the issues reported against CRO IT applications and resolve them in a timely manner
*Monitoring of scheduled batch jobs, as well as the identification of process improvements (eg automation of the manual monitoring process)
*Responsibility for the OLAs and SLAs between IT to IT and IT to business
*Proactive communication of batch job delays to users and senior management
*Escalation of critical and high priority issues to the senior management
*Full root cause analysis and a detailed investigation of issues in the agreed time
*Ownership for the IT/incident tickets open in the area of responsibility
*Subject Matter Expert for one or more applications in the application portfolio
*Strong collaboration with the application development teams and the other relevant interfaces
You offer
*University (or equivalent) qualification in an IT/Scientific subject
*5 years' plus experience in an IT Support role (ideally in front or Middle Office in IB)
*Fundamental Banking/Finance/Risk knowledge is required
*Practical experience with Unix/Linux and Shell Scripting
*Experience with SQL (ideally Oracle/Sybase)
*Batch/Control-M experience is a strong plus
*ITIL V3 certificate is a strong plus
*Knowledge of multiple technologies is an advantage: Excel, VBA, C#/ASP.NET, Java, C++
*Skills in Incident-/Problem-, Release- and Change Management (from a production perspective)
*Good understanding of monitoring modelling/practices
*Ability to do on-call duty and for working in non-peak hours (bank holidays/weekends)
*Excellent communication skills in English, German is a plus
