For a 12 months project at our banking client’s site in Zurich, we are looking for aRapid Application Developer and Analyst (3180)
Requirements:
5+ years' experience working in the Financial Services Industry.
Programming expertise on MS Access and SQL Server databases is absolutely critical for the role.
Data Modelling experience & knowledge of Relational Database Management Systems (RDBMS) concepts is required.
Basic VBA knowledge in terms of interpreting & maintaining VBA code is required.
Knowledge of PnL flows and Financial Control Operations in other Investment Banks would be useful.
Needs to be a pro-active & detail oriented.
Project Management experience in terms of ensuring the delivery is inline with the project plan, including providing regular updates to management on status.
The RAD (Rapid Application Development) role exists within the Group Asset & Liability Management Financial Control team in Zurich.
This is a complex business area in which Financial Control relies on a portfolio of End User Applications (EUAs) to produce and analyse daily P&L and month-end reporting, and is currently under-going a significant amount of organisational and infrastructural transformation.
The Financial Control team are responsible for the integrity of the business level P&L, Balance Sheet and related financial disclosures.
The role requires the RAD Analyst/Developer to work closely with both the line Financial Control team and the Finance Risk Data Services (FRDS) IT team in Zurich and London to analyse the existing portfolio of EUAs and create a book of work and delivery plan focussing on the consolidation, enhancement and rebuild of the applications onto FRDS IT supported platforms, with a view to increasing automation, improving stability and functionality.
