On behalf of our client, one of the largest financial institutions in Switzerland, we are looking for an experienced Unix/Linux specialist to join their dynamic IT team in Zurich on a 12 months contract basis.
Responsibilities:
- Installation, Deployment and Operation of UNIX/Linux infrastructure for several business units
- Providing technical 2nd level support on Unix environment
- On-call support (7x24h) for Unix Operations team
- Planning and execution of maintenance on UNIX/Linux systems, and Middleware components
- Create, revise and update technical documentation
Requirements:
- At least 5-8 years of work experience in system administration of Sun Solaris and Red Hat Linux Systems in lager environments
- Experience in providing 7x24h On-Call suppor and willingnes to participate in the to weekend work and work outside office hours
- Practical experience in Incident-, Problem and Change Management, including root cause analysis
- Strong analytical and strategic abilities with solid implementation skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work and communicate effectively with senior management and other stakeholders
- Fluent in English (spoken and written). German language skills are an advantage
