Data Centre Project Manager (Contract, Zurich)
This Project Manager with expertise managing data centre migration, consolidation and optimisation projects, with
heavy stakeholder interaction. Additionally, the resource will manage complex application migration projects, schedule and execute data centre consolidation and relocation projects for applications (including infrastructure, storage, network, server and IT appliances).
The DC project manager will drive consolidation and application migration projects, manage internal, client and vendor project teams throughout the entire project life cycle, as well as build and develop the execution plan for the consolidation and migration of applications, Servers, storage and network.
The Project Manager will liaise with globally-dispersed stakeholders, vendors and service providers.
This is a contract position based in Zurich with occasional travel to Mannheim (Germany).
The start date is ASAP.
The project language is English.
The contract duration is 6-12 months, with a view to extend.
For this challenging role, we are searching for a Project Manager with solid data centre/server consolidation project experience and a holistic understanding of data centre operations. General understanding of all data centre functions with a focus on server, storage and database technologies is necessary for this role. You are familiar with project environments including budget, schedules, communication, change control and project tools (MS Project,
PowerPoint). Previous ERP migration experience is desirable but not essential - although the candidate needs to be able to talk to ERP stakeholders with confidence. Strong people and communication skills are necessary for
this role.
