For a global bank based here in Zürich we are looking for a Sybase DBA to join the team.
- We are looking for candidates with strong experience in Sybase Database (min. 5 years) and at least 3-5 years production support experience.
- You will speak fluent English, German is desirable. If you are a team player with a lot of drive, are able to work on multiple tasks and under a lot of pressure - you will be the ideal candidate for our team!
We are looking for candidates with:
- Professional DBA of Sybase 15
- Experience as a Sybase Infrastructure DBA, ideally within the financial sector
- Good knowledge of Linux and Unix operating systems with VERITAS clustering and volume manager
- Knowledge of installing and configuring Sybase Servers
- Good Sybase and basic Scripting language knowledge
- English skills
- Good communication skills
- Willing to do On-Call work
Nice to have:
- Experience with MS SQL
- Experience with Oracle RDBMS
- skills and experience in DB Tuning/Optimization
- SAN/NAS Storage
- Virtualization Skills (VM-Ware)
