My customer is looking for an experienced Python Developer that is highly motivated and is experienced in Numerical Programming.
About the Project:
- Application comprehends:
- Front End: Written in Python and Flask framework.
- BackEnd: Internal Model (monte-carlo simulations, financial calculation, algorithms, mathematical models, etc).
- JupyterHub: Integration of the JupiterHub with the current Front and Backend
- Everything runs as docker containers, and currently we are using Docker Swarm to coordinate services and resources
- Currently we are also working on porting the solution on the Microsoft Azure platform.
- DevOps part integrated with TFS
- Other technology used in the project are: PostgreSQL, Celery Scheduler, RabbitMQ, Redis, Team Fondation Server (TFS), GIT
- Internal Model calculations (simulations) are mainly coded by the Financial Modellers (FinMod) (business side) and this team comprehends about 20 actuaries (6 working in developing the solution and other running the model) which are running the application and simulations.
Daily tasks:.
- Working with the FinMod team and implementing IT related tasks (changes on the FrontEnd, Backend, etc.. ).
- Advise the FinMod team on how to optimise the Python code (but typically this would exclude the work on Monte-Carlo simulations)
- Act as a 3rd level support for the application
You must hold an EU passport and be prepared to work 5 days on site.
