For an international financial institution in Zurich we are seeking a highly motivated professional to take up the following challenge:
Senior Microsoft BI Data Modeler (Contract) - 5876
Job Description
- Translate business needs into data model
- Optimize and update physical data model
- Responsible for database deliverables (logical and physical data models, data dictionary and data classification Matrix)
- Analysis of existing relational enterprise data model, mapping of all relevant entities and relationships to dimensional model
- Analysis of user path documentation to establish a proper grain capable of shape data needs and performance concerns
- Monitor, prioritize and implement changes with DWH Data Access Layer team in close collaboration with the reporting IT lead
- Develop best practices for standard naming conventions and coding practices to ensure consistency of data models
Requirements
- Degree in computer science, IT, engineering or related field
- 7 years + working as dimensional data modeller using Kimball/Inmon methodology (MUST)
- 7 years + working with Power Designer or similar
- Expertise in DDL and DML using SQL Server T-SQL language
- Expertise in reverse engineering of physical data models from databases and SQL scripts
- Very high quality data standards
- Excellent communicator
- Proficient in English
Contract Details
- Start early September
- 12 months contract with extension possibility
- Location near Zürich
- Daily rate CHF all inclusive
