For a project at our client ‘s site, an international bank based in Zurich, we are looking for an experiencedUNIX System Administrator - Redhat Linux / Solaris )
In this role, you will deliver third Level Support of Oracle Solaris and Red Hat Linux distributed server environment liaising with regional and global counterparts. This role requires participation in weekend/evening work and an on-call service.
Your Qualifications:
• 5+ years’ experience in supporting UNIX based distributed computing environment with a large number of servers
• Solid understanding of UNIX-based operating systems both Redhat Linux and Solaris 8/10 are required
• Knowledge of virtualization technologies, such as VMWare as well as networking skills
• Skills with some at least 2 of the following products are mandatory: Veritas foundation suite, Veritas Cluster Server, Redhat Linux Cluster Server, Sun Cluster
• Ability to write scripts in administrative languages (for examples. Tk, Perl, ksh, sh, csh)
• Knowhow in computing and storage environment concepts and technologies – LAN, WAN, routing protocols, NFS, DNS, NIS, LDAP, SAN, NAS, Fibre Channel, etc.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English

• Lead/participate in infrastructure project
• Third Level Support of Oracle Solaris and Red Hat Linux distributed server environment liaising with regional and global counterparts
• Understand business priorities; adequately prioritize work accordingly to meet business objectives
• Drive for improvements and implement them on a regional or global scale
• Communicate and collaborate with other internal partners for designing, planning, and coordination of implementation to ensure work is completed in a timely manner
• You will be expected to drive the execution of innovative solutions
• Write technical documentation for related infrastructure and installs
