Senior Quantitative Developer (trading or reinsurance)
On behalf of our client, a leading bank in Zürich, we are looking for a Senior Quantitative Developer (trading or reinsurance).

Role:
- An alternative investments fund manager located in Zurich is further building out the functionalities of its trading and analytics IT platform
- Working independently and as part of a small team in an agile environment, under the guidance of the tech lead
- Developing analytical components in a prototyping environment.
- Enhancing existing functionalities and designing/implementing new features following coding best practices
- Taking part in extending the testing framework and maintaining/improving unit tests
- Understanding the business specifications, converting requirements into technical solutions
- Supporting the Production Environment and the end-users
Skills:
Must have:
- Over 7 proven experience in development with OOP, .NET C# 4.5 or above, LINQ, multi-threading
- Reinsurance or trading experience
- Strong analytic/quantitative background
- Good DB design and SQL knowledge including SQL Server 2008 or above
- Requirements engineering/Business Analysis skills
- Test driven development
- Agile/scrum experience
- Good oral/written communication, positive and proactive team attitude
- Strong analytic and problem-solving skills, flexible on moving targets
- Good spoken and written English
Nice to have:
- Web technologies: Asp.NET MVC & Web Api, JavaScript (jQuery, angular, knockout)
- Unit testing (eg NUnit) and mocking frameworks
- Area of actuarial treaty pricing of property, specialty reinsurance risks, quantitative risk management of property and/or specialty reinsurance.
- Higher Education, such as Bachelor Degree in Computer Science
- Previous experience in the Finance/Insurance industries (ideally within Trading/Portfolio Management)
- Good spoken and written German
