On behalf of our client, one of the most prestigious financial institutions, we are looking for a Software Engineer. For this position based in Zürich, our client is looking for an English-speaking candidate, who is available as soon as possible.
Key responsibilities:
- Implement and deliver high quality software solutions/components for the Risk platform that conform to architectural standards
- Leverage his/her expertise to mentor and lead developers; review code/designs and ensure adherence to standards
- Manage and 'own' significant development tasks end-to-end.
- Demonstrate superior collaboration skills in working closely with other development, testing and implementation teams to roll-out important regulatory and business improvement programs
Who I am looking for:
- 8 years hands-on development experience using core Java and Oracle PL/SQL
- Experienced in multi-threading, JDBC, XML-parsing, data loading using Java
- Ability to write clear technical documentations
- Experience in the Financial Services domain - ideally Risk
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and an ability to work as part of a global team
- Knowledge on Unix, Linux, GitHUB, Sonar (preferable)
- Fluency in English, German is an asset
