Java Backend Developer wanted for our Zurich based client in the finance sector.
Your experience/skills:
- Bachelors' Degree in Computer Science with solid knowledge of Java
- At least 7 years' experience working in a similar position, preferably within the Trading department (FX/Derivatives) of a big bank
- Familiarity with Object Oriented Design, Design Patterns, Services Design, implementation and testing (REST, JSON, SOAP, XML, etc.)
- Excellent Unit Test and Integration Test skills (XUnit, NUnit and/or MsTests) as well as expertise in SQL
- Languages: fluent English both written and spoken
Your tasks:
- Analyzing user needs and software requirements to determine feasibility of design within time and cost constraints
- Providing task-analysis and estimates, prototypes and proof-of-concepts as part of the analysis process
- Modifying existing software to correct errors, adapt to new hardware, or to improve its performance
- Running a solid architecture and promoting good coding practices for the application
- Taking ownership of the code and initiating the required steps to ensure the team delivers high quality features in agreed timeframes
