Systems Administrator with Server OSs and DB experience wanted for one of our Zurich based clients in the banking sector.
Your experience/skills:
- Qualification in System Administration along with solid working experience preferably within a banking environment
- At least one year of working experience with server OSs such as Windows/Linux and with databases such as SQL/Oracle
- Working experience with ESX as well as with Blade Logic will be of advantage
- Initiative and communicative personality along with ability to continuously and proactively track and chase other departments
- Languages: fluent English both written and spoken, German would be a big plus
Your tasks:
- Managing the on-time delivery of the Servers and DBs to the various operations departments as well as performing daily follow-ups with hardware/network departments to avoid delays
- Planning, reviewing and approving of system design on weekly basis before the internal infrastructure review board
- Troubleshooting the network infrastructure (network-, Firewall, capacity-, zone- and general OS related problems)
- Communicating proactively with the operations and other departments as well as supporting the team in installations, upgrading and reinstallations of the central services and DBs
- Improving the systems delivery in all aspects, helping to resolve reoccurring problems as well as working on user acceptance testing (UAT)
- Ensuring customer satisfaction regarding quality and time
