For our banking client we are currently looking for a System Engineer:
START: ASAP
DURATION: 9 months
LOCATION: Zürich
Software Engineering:
* Up-to-date deep understanding of Object Orientated software and design skills with an
established track record of development in an OO language.
. Be proficient in C# and backed up by a demonstrable reference showing this proficiency.
Additional skills in JavaScript and HTML5 would be advantageous.
. Designing and building complex Graphical User Interfaces and with interactive visualization
charting components.
. Knowledge of VB6/VBA. Must be able to step through and understand VB6/VBA code.
. Database expertise especially handling of financial data eg time series
. Building complex publication ready customizable reports and documents.
. Solid grasp of automating with the MS Office Object Model (Excel, Access, PowerPoint).
. Know-how of Mathematical tools - eg Matlab, R and numerical libraries eg Nag
. Proven problem solving skills with ability to plan resources and control activities.
. Written and spoken fluency in English required.
. Disciplined attention to detail, strong programming and mathematical abilities coupled with the
capacity to provide high quality applications. Delivery focused and pragmatic, by being able to
balance fast delivery against the need for stable, maintainable and extendable solutions.
. Familiarity with market data systems
. Familiarity with UBS IT infrastructure.
Financial Engineering
It would be beneficial if the software engineers have experience and have previously worked on
financial software projects
. Quantitative finance, Financial engineering
. Knowledge of portfolio construction and analytics
. Portfolio Risk analysis
. Monte Carlo Simulation
