For a major international client in Canton of Vaud, we are looking for a:
Workstation Specialist
to provide End User Solutions consists of the end-user environment including Workstations, Mobile Devices, Windows Servers, Management Tools and Virtualisation Platforms.
Responsibilities will include:
Manage and maintain the existing Workstation builds
- Perform updates to the build and infrastructure application to ensure security compliance and provide functional changes where required
- Test and deploy the new Workstation build and the various role variants required
- Troubleshoot complex issues and deploy resolution
- Assess and update the relevant standards and control documents for the existing Workstation builds and related hardware and software solutions
Design, Build and sustain Windows 7 & 8.1 to Windows 10 migration tool
- Investigate, design and build the solution to migrate our current build to Windows 10
- Ensure a smooth migration of local user data.
Provide assistance and guidance to local teams during migration from Windows 7 & 8.1 to Windows 10
Candidates must be able to demonstrate:
- Very good knowledge of
- Windows Client (7, 8/8.1, 10)
- Active Directory (Group Policies)
- Software Packaging and Distribution (SCCM)
- Secure communications and certificate management
- Microsoft Office Configuration Tools
- Microsoft USMT
- Powershell; VB or programming language
- IT related degree and relevant experience in the mentioned technologies for more than 7 years in large, global environments
- Microsoft Certifications or other relevant vendor certification would be a plus
- Technology Expertise in End User & Infrastructure
- Good skills in Scripting
- Experience in development of solutions for deployment into the business
- Ability to express complex technical concepts in business terms
- Good communication skills in English (fluent)
This is a contract position with an international client until the end of 2016 in the first instance.
The client is located on Lake Geneva, in canton of Vaud.
Info-Tech will provide advice and support through your relocation if you are working in Switzerland for the first time.
