Junior Database Engineer, SQL, Banking, English (Contract, Zurich)
For one of our clients, a worldwide renowned Bank based in Zürich, Swisslinx is currently looking for a Junior Database Engineer with SQL experience.
We can offer:
- Quality ensurance of tax-relevant client data, as delivered from the core banking system via automated feeder systems to a specialized client tax reporting application
- Review of client data based on business rules and system release notes
- Case-based problem analysis regarding complex data requirements and high data quality standards
- Development and implementation of manual or semi-automated data correction solutions, optimized for an XML-based upload interface
Your profile:
- Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering or related field required
- Excellent analytical skills
- Basic knowledge of relational database management systems and relevant MS Office applications (MS Excel, MS Access)
- Ability to develop and review SQL queries based on business specifications
- Strong analytical abilities and problem-solving skills
- High quality consciousness
- Readiness to work independently, to cope with high workload and tight schedules
- Eagerness to learn, focused on the continuous improvement of existing data cleansing processes
- Fluent German and English language skills (spoken and written)
This is a 6 months contract initially, with a possibility of extension.Start date: ideally ASAP.
