For a project at our banking client site, we need an experienced
Software Developer - C#/.NET & WCF/WPF (3400)
Your qualifications:
- Strong C# .NET development skills
- Java and Oracle would be desirable
- Strong understanding of OO concepts and design patterns
- Experience in Test automation
- At least 5 years professional development experience (Working in finance sector is a plus)
- Project life cycle experience: delivery on at least 2 large scale, highly complex projects
- Strong English Language skills (German is a plus)
- Quick learner able to adapt to a dynamic environment
- Eager to take on responsibility
- Good communicator who can help build partnership with onshore and offshore development team
About the role:
The successful candidate will be part of the GFM (Global Fund Manager) application development SCRUM team.
GFM is responsible for the street side execution of 3rd Party Mutual Funds, the clients Mutual Funds, and Hedge Funds.
Duties include:
- Lead developer for the GUI, showing ability to design interfaces with a focus on UX
- Provide strong C#/.Net (WCF/WPF)
- Help develop specifications with business analysts and technical leads to satisfy a wide range of projects and initiatives
- Contribute to setting high standards for code development and implement high quality development processes
- Perform regular code reviews to ensure development standards are met and that high quality is maintained
- Help ensure that the development team is delivering to the agreed plan, monitor issues and escalate in a timely manner in order to avoid unexpected delays
- Collaborate with IT peers globally, in particular Zurich, Wroclaw, Poland, and Bangalore, India
- Participate in the entire software development life cycle including technical design, documentation, software development, unit testing & production implementation
- Support QA team throughout functional and regression testing of changes
