For a permanent role at our client, a smaller asset management company located in Canton Schwyz (30 mins outside of Zurich), we are looking for an experiencedRequirements Engineer - Database & Investment Knowledge (3078)
Your experience & qualifications
You will have minimum 5 years+ experience in financial markets specifically gathering and supporting front, middle and back office data requirements.
You should have had exposure to trading, decision support and shadow accounting systems. It is assumed that candidates will have a good understanding of investment management data and the investment management order lifecycle.
Further qualities:
Good understanding of investment management data and databases in general
Full experience and understanding of the trade lifecycle
Demonstrate an in-depth knowledge of securities, equities, fixed income, private equity, private equity fund of funds and derivatives
Experience in working with the business and taking their requirements
Some development skills would be desirable but not mandatory (VBA…)
Strong analytic view, seeing problems in the systems and bringing them to the attention of the head of IT with solution suggestions.
Experience at identifying and communicating complex technical issues at all stakeholder levels
Experience in identifying and resolving issues in systems mentioned below
Markit EDM (or similar system), Thinkfolio, CRD (or other OMS) is important (performance, risk or accounting system would be advantageous)
The role will entail
Building up data governance processes, according to the requirements you gather and assist the team of technicians reporting on them
Tracking the data quality throughout the core applications in the organisation. Developing KPIs to support your findings and conclusions
Suggesting and implementing processes for improving data quality
Checking daily data quality issues that arise from the business
Digging to find the source and suggesting solutions
Have the technical understanding and skills to be able to effectively analyse the issues at source
Have the business knowledge to understand new business requirements and documenting them before interacting with the rest of the IT team in order to implement a solution
Defining data requirements around a new product process
Monitor the Data vendor costs
Ensure clear business ownership of data
