Procurement Specialist with profound Category Management and Corporate Services knowledge wanted for our Zurich based client in the pharmaceutical sector.
Your experience/skills:
- 5+ years working experience in Procurement with expertise in supporting cost reduction projects, value improvement programs, basic contracting, eSourcing and spot buying, ideally in pharmaceutical industries and international environment
- Profound background in Corporate Services, Category Management principles and frameworks along with stakeholder management know-how
- Ability to translate business requirements into Procurement operations as well as demonstrated understanding of major spend categories, potential cost levers and market fundamentals
- Certification in Professional Purchasing such as CIPS or Finance related licenses are desirable
- Languages: fluent English both written and spoken
Your tasks:
- Gathering requirements for global strategies and plans as well as providing support for local implementation of global and regional initiatives, including the willingness to travel
- Driving procurement penetration and compliance to Procurement Policy and ensuring that indirect spend is channeled through the appropriate processes
- Being responsible for interfacing spend and performance data requests, such as savings, quality data and spend data to support the creation and monitoring of target and performance tracking
- Performing continuous professional development activities as well as acting as an escalation point for operational issues
- Performing ad-hoc operational buying activities for medium spend values as well as monitoring progress of requests and provide regular scheduled updates to business requestors
- Supporting the implementation of new processes and technologies
