Service Delivery Manager - Mainframe
My Client is a leading Financial Services firm undergoing continued IT system improvement programs. A position exists for a Service Delivery Manager for Mainframe Services. The role is to ensure the delivery of cost effective and high availability services by the provider in line with business objectives and formal Service Level Agreements, financial objectives, IT governance requirements and IT standards. Also ensures the Service Delivery processes are in place to meet business needs. This role is a stakeholder facing role, and requires establishment and management of expectations within the business and drive IT teams to achieve those expectations to a high standard.
To be considered for this position you must be able to demonstrate proven experience in the following -
Solid experience in Service Management
Able to demonstrate the ability to undertake the above responsibilities
Demonstrable experience of supplier liaison and management, achieving high levels of service levels, within tight cost management guidelines.
An analytical and innovative approach to problem solving.
Working know-how in service management and specifically of the ITIL framework (one or more ITIL V3 Intermediate Certifications)
Basic z/OS Mainframe technical knowledge is an advantage
Excellent customer facing/customer service skills
Demonstrated customer and service orientation
Strong verbal, written and interpersonal skills, ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical audiences
Exposure to risk management and analysis techniques
Experience of self-managing technical projects and/or risk analysis and delivering to specific objectives and firm dates
Experience with process and technical documentation specification, review and updates Brings a positive, service-oriented approach to work
