For our client a global banking company located in Zurich, Harvey Nash is looking for a Data/Business Analyst for a 6-months contract.
Your role
Do you have a knack for analysing IT business processes? Are you able to manage projects efficiently?
We're looking for someone like that who can help us:
- conduct benchmark and impact assessments of newly implemented components to existing solutions
- determine required IT business solutions and assist in implementing them
- conduct requirements-gathering activities, like evaluating services, using a variety of internal and external data and conducting stakeholder interviews
- support the business engineer by describing the business processes, including the organizational structures involved
- assist in quality control and project management
- identify people and systems impacted by functional and non-functional requirements
Your team
BCBS 239 is Credit Risk Transformation to align Finance data with Credit Risk data of all banking divisions. We are responsible for end to end delivery and accuracy of Data Sourcing, Analytics and Reporting data. We work closely with colleagues from the upstream systems and downstream systems. We deal with business architects, application architects, development and UAT teams.
Our team is located primarily in Zurich, and works in collaboration with teams in Singapore, London, Pune & Krakow.

Your experience and skills:
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Strong conceptual thinking and ability to identify dependencies
- Talent to elicit requirements and translate business requirements into IT functional specification for business and IT teams
- Experience in specifying requirements using Use Cases and UML (or other modelling technique)
- Ability to prepare documents for workshop/meetings with business stakeholders and moderate discussions
- Strong SQL and Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Access, Powerpoint, Visio) skills
- Knowledge and experience in Credit Risk is a plus
- Experience with Enterprise Architect is a plus
You are:
- a person with excellent documentation and written communication skills
- a fast learner with the ability to get up to speed quickly with new processes and IT applications/infrastructure
- organized and able to work independently
- outgoing and personable, with the confidence to deal with varied groups of stakeholders and diverse IT teams
- fluent in English (German is desired)
