For our client in Zurich, a globally operatin bank, we are looking for a

Regulatory Business Analyst

for a 6 months' assignment

Overview of business area or project:

Finance Change delivers projects for the CFO Division of the bank. Within the Finance Change organization this team delivers regulatory driven projects.

The team has the objective to deliver within the Regulatory Programs a strategic solution, which meets the BCBS requirements documented for Equity Investments in Funds (BCBS 266), Securitization Processing (BCBS D374) and Basel 3 Standard Approach RWA calculation (ERV). Therefore strategic solutions have to be established as well as proper sourcing from upstream systems. Furthermore the delivers are dependent on further work streams thus alignment between these projects have to ensured.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analysis and gathering of requirements from a reporting and sourcing perspective
  • Liaise with the upstream data provider to ensure additional requirements are reflected accordingly
  • Drive change with SMEs and IT contacts and coordinate project delivery to ensure that the needs of business stakeholders are met on time in budget and quality.
  • Drive overall work stream delivery to ensure that all requirements are addressed
  • Working jointly with IT and business organizations to implement effective business solutions.


Delivering solutions for regulatory requirements with corresponding externally set deadlines, while aligning with business and IT contacts and potentially also across departments.

Essentials Skills and Qualifications:

  • Appropriate business education within the regulatory reporting subject (Basel III, Capital Reporting)
  • Several years of experience in the regulatory reporting environment (SNB, FINMA, PRA, BoE, ).
  • Technical knowledge including Data Warehousing (SQL) and experience of regulatory reporting tools.
  • Comprehensive understanding of business processes and corresponding IT solutions for full month end processing
  • Strong business acumen and ability to quickly understand regulatory requirements and business strategy
  • Track record of working as a Project Manager in the banking arena of regulatory reporting
  • Excellent spoken and written English
  • Strong relationship building and consultation skills as well as an ability to ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships with peers, management, key stakeholders and clients.
  • German language knowledge will be a benefit
  • Local candidates are preferred
