For a project at our client, an international insurance based in Zurich, we are looking for a motivated
Business Analyst - Enterprise Data Analytics & Architecture
In this role you will be supporting the onboarding of data occuring from the BU’s by considering data quality aspects at the same time.
Your Qualifications:
- 5-10 years’ experience as a Business Analyst with focus on Enterprise Data Analytics & Architecture, preferably within the insurance industry
- Experience in capturing complex business requirements plus the analysis and translation into easily understandable functional requirements
- Well-versed in leading workshops for gathering requirements
- Good understanding of BI concepts (ETL, Data Mart, Data Warehouse, Data Lake)
- Solid understanding of data models and data modelling concepts related to BI specific developments
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft® Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio, Project)
- Good technical writing skills and ability to work effectively in a global organization under time pressure by managing ambiguity
- Empathy to end user experience and business needs
- Flexible, agile and adaptive to change
- Fluent in English, any other language is an advantage
Your Responsibilities:
- Driving business requirements gathering plus translating them into functional and non-functional requirements
- Participating in the estimation of the effort needed to implement the requirements
- Writing test cases derived from the requirements to support the testing activities
- Participating in the analysis and design of the solution in collaboration with the solution designer
- Supporting users in building business cases, including cost / benefit analysis, risk assessment, project scope and development of a high-level plan
- Participating as an SME on behalf of the business in the User Acceptance Tests
- Performing impact analysis of application changes across various components, holding an end-to-end view of the system
