IT Business Analyst/Requirements Engineer - Banking

Overview of contract
On behalf of our client, a leading financial institution in Zürich, we are looking for an experienced Business Analyst to join a project team within the Investment Banking area of a well-known Swiss bank.
This is a 12-month contract based in Zurich
Main responsibilities
- Elicit IT requirements by translating business requirements (including business rules) into software requirements
- Document and specify software requirements
- Prioritize and plan requirement work and engage all stakeholders (business, IT)
- Ensure common understanding among stakeholders (business, developers, testers)
- Hand over requirements to delivery teams so they can translate the project requirements into their own low level platform requirements, and collaborate continuously to ensure correct implementation
- Manage requirements across life cycle (identified, specified, baselined, implemented, tested, released)
- Work with test manager to ensure test coverage and support with defect analysis
- Take ownership for own work packages and drive for results
Your skills:
- Minimum of 8 years of experience as an IT Business Analyst/Requirements Engineer within large scale and international projects:
- 4 years of experience in Banking/Financial Industry:
- bank processes: Investment Advice, Order Management
- products: listed & OTC - Excellent analytical skills and the ability to navigate in complex business and IT environments
- Outstanding ability to manage stakeholders from different departments in large Matrix organizations and proven communication skills
- Seasoned in collaboration with Software engineers and architects and therefore conscious of technical restrictions and pitfalls
- Fluent with different software delivery approaches: Waterfall, Iterative and Agile
- Proficient in English (written and spoken)
