Win7 Application Workstream Lead - LSynthes, EMEA (LAT & ASPAC)
POSITION SUMMARY:
This position will be responsible for supporting the Win7 Project for the Legacy Synthes organization across all locations in EMEA, Latin America and Asia Pacific. The Win7 Application Lead will have responsibility for overseeing the progress of the Application Readiness work stream to ensure that all applications required for the XP to Windows7 deployments are on track to be deployed by Q4 2014.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Partner with Win7 Project Manager, Win7 PMO management, IT & Business application owners and global Quality and Compliance (GXP/GRQP) team leads to establish application readiness plans and execute against those plans
Manage the additional Application work stream resources who will be engaged in application coordination, end user acceptance testing, application readiness tracking and a shared validation documentation resource
Win7 App Lead will be responsible for creating and managing the application inventory for all locations in EMEA and the coordination of the initiatives in LAT and ASPAC.
Win7 App Lead will partner with the Win7 Project Manager and the GRQP team leads to ensure complete alignment on application testing, appropriate documentation and remediation strategies
Win7 App Lead will partner with GalaxE, the ITS supported vendor, to conduct app evaluation, identify remediation efforts and determine remediation costs and timelines
Win7 App Lead will be responsible for tracking application remediation progress, reporting roadblocks and providing regularly scheduled dashboard updates
Ensure compliance with all IT, GXP and SDLC procedures
Coordinate Win7 application readiness per user groups to the & Win7 desktop deployment team leads across multiple locations for North America
Engage local resources from both Business and IT to support application testing and documenation activities
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum 10 years of IT experience.
Strong program/project management & organization skills required.
Strong teamwork and influence skills required.
Excellent communication skills and previous experience in a leadership role
Strong background in application validation, GXP & UAT testing preferred
Previous experience managing IT Infrastructure or large programs is preferred.
TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE
Fair IT infrastructure knowledge in the end-user domain
Windows 7, Windows XP
General understanding of IT application architectures
