VMware Engineer/Administrator
The project: Administration and management of the VMware infrastructure in different divisions within a major bank.
Your tasks:
- Performing new installations and upgrades (release cycle) for virtual infrastructure
- Participating in 7x24x365 Virtual Infrastructure ON Call Service
- Assisting with Scripting (reporting and automation) of the virtualization environment
- Managing a large global VMware environment as part of a global service delivery team
- Cooperating closely with partner platform teams (DB, Unix, Wintel, Storage and Backup)
Your experience/skills:
- Extensive experience in VMware ESXi 4.* and ESXi 5.* (senior level, min. 3 years)
- Know-how on Windows Server, Linux, Solaris, SQL and Storage (SAN/NAS)
- Architecture knowledge of virtual infrastructure and good Scripting skills
- Understanding of backup and recovery of VMs and additional hands-on experience with VMware tools (vCOPS, vCAC)
- Languages: Fluent in English both written and spoken, German is a plus
