On behalf of our client, a global bank based in Zurich, Nicoll Curtin requires a Business Analyst with experience in Finance Compensation for a 4 month contract position. The bank is looking for an experienced business analyst to join the change team responsible for ensuring that the deferred compensation processes are robust, automated and satisfy the customers Finance Compensation requirements. Ideally, the successful candidate will have an accounting background as well as a Technical background (Business Objects and PERL script).
The role:
* Automation of Group Finance Compensation business processes and their related accounting rules
* Responsibility for the entire change cycle - gathering business requirements, conducting business analysis, preparing specifications, working with IT on delivery of technical specifications and solutions, performing system testing, co-ordinating UAT with the Finance Compensation team
* Plan, prepare and monitor the realization of the new business solutions with business partners
* Work out production delivery plans together with the IT partner to match business expectations
* Support business stakeholders in their day-to-day work and provide support for investigation of production processes and delivery and maintenance of Business Object reports
Requirements:
* Track record of managing and delivering a portfolio of change.
* Preparation of Business Requirements Documents (BRD)
* Converting the BRD into business/functional specifications
* Development of test plans, test cases and running testing cycles
* Working with your customers to ensure user acceptance testing is successful
* Strong analytical and process design skill set using business process management methodologies
and tools.
* Proficient user of SQL from a data query perspective.
* Clear understanding of database schemas.
* Accounting background (beneficial)
* Experience of iLog/Jrules or other market leading business rule engines
* MS Office tools excellent knowledge (Excel formulas & VB macros, MS-Project)
* Technical background: Business Objects and PERL script (beneficial)
* Good command of English (verbally and written)
* Previous experience of delivering change in a Deferred Compensation arena is a distinct advantage.
