For our client's worldwide Dynamic Forecast program, we need a SQL Server DBA
You will:
- Install new instances of SQL Server 2005 & 2008 on standalone or clustered Servers
- Install Integration Services and deploy SIIS packages from development to production
- Install Analysis Services
- Troubleshoot and provide incident management for Data Services, Integration Services and Analysis Services
- Manage connections to database Servers
- Manage users and privileges
- Setup and troubleshoot SQL Server replications
- Setup and troubleshoot SQL Server Database Mirroring
- Proactively monitor databases, and undertake tuning on demand
- Plan and follow-up worldwide deployment of SQL Server Service Packs and hot fixes
- Write and maintain runbook, to be used by offshore team
- Provide L3 support to offshore team
Candidates applying for this role must be able to demonstrate:
- At least 5 years of experience with Microsoft SQL Server (Data Services, Integration Services, Analysis Services, Reporting Services)
- T-SQL
- ITIL methodology
- Knowledge of Oracle Database and Essbase is an advantage
- Fluent English, French would be an advantage
This is a contract position with an international client for just over 12 months in the first instance, with the possibility for extension depending on performance and team priorities. The client is located minutes from Lake Geneva, on the Swiss Riviera and close to Lausanne. Info-Tech will provide advice and support through your relocation if you are working in Switzerland for the first time.
