Senior SQL Server DBA to act as a product specialist within the DB services department to join our global investment bank client in Zurich. You will need extensive MSSQL tuning skills and have the ability to prioritise your workload and work with minimal supervision. We expect a pro-active work ethic and strong communication skills.
Required skills:
Microsoft SQL Server production database administration; Microsoft Windows
SQL Server
Clustering and replication skills;
Analysis/Reporting Services ;
Microsoft SQL Server Development;
SQL Optimising;
Database monitoring and troubleshooting.
Desirable skills MCDBA (Microsoft Certified Database Administrator); Sybase ASE and Replication Server skills also very useful as well as supporting databases on SAN storage.
You will be working in a highly skilled that supports a global environment. Experience of a substantial corporate production environment is expected.
You will be working in a lively challenging environment and you should be able to display strong interpersonal, oral and written communication skills. You will need to be a pro active, motivation, self-starter, who is able to work with minimal guidance, managing issues and problems through to resolution. This is predominantly and English speaking environment so fluent English is a must however any knowledge of German is useful.
